Poa pratensis, A main stay of any traditional meadow. It is a long lived perennial grass and native to practically all of Europe. Its the first grass to green up in the spring and is palatable to livestock. It tolerated poor soil and drought and is low growing so suited to a wildflower hay meadow. Not found by itself but makes up a mixed tapestry of grasses in a meadow.
